Interesting stuff. Has anyone come across Christiana Weeks? She ran the Williamsburg Jail. She is mentioned in Armbruster's "Eastern District". I'm looking for more on her and her family.

Interesting information on Williamsburgh. The written history of this former city is extremely scarce. When Williamsburgh was a city, it had its own police department.
I have police pay receipts for police officers of different wards signed by the mayor.

I also have a Loan from the Village of Williamsburgh dated 1849.
